Residential burglary–Dec. 7, 8:23 p.m. Duane Court. An unknown person entered a residence via an unlocked door. The resident arrived home and interrupted the burglary. The person fled the house without taking anything.

Armed robbery–Dec. 5, 1:40 a.m. Lakewood Park. A group of unknown people surrounded several victims at the skate park in Lakewood Park and produced a firearm and knives. They demanded cash and cell phones from the victims and fled on foot.

Petty theft–Dec. 4, 10:31 a.m. Tamarack Lane. An unknown person entered an unlocked car and stole the radio and speakers valued at $500.

Commercial burglary–Dec. 4, 12:06 a.m. Baltic Way. An unknown person entered a business by prying open a door and stole various laptop computers.

Drugs–Dec. 3, 8:03 p.m. Mary Avenue. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, and a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants. The man was on probation, and controlled substances were found during a search of his residence. The driver of the vehicle was also arrested for possession of drugs for sale.

Residential burglary–Dec. 3, 7:50 a.m. S. Fair Oaks Avenue. An unknown person gained entry into a residence by prying open a bathroom window and stole cash and electronics.

Residential burglary–Dec. 3, 7:30 a.m. Lakemuir Drive. An unknown person gained entry into a residence by breaking a garage window and stole electronics and jewelry.

Attempted robbery–Dec. 2, 10:11 p.m. Persian Drive. A possible attempted robbery took place in the area of Persian Drive and Fair Oaks Avenue. A man was walking along the curb of Persian Drive near Minh’s Vietnamese Restaurant when he was approached by two other men. They demanded his wallet, struck him in the face, upper body and legs, but were unable to get it from him. The man takes numerous medications for alcohol addiction and admitted he was extremely intoxicated and could not remember or provide details about the incident.

Parole violation–Dec. 2, 4:19 p.m. Fair Oaks Avenue. An officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation and the driver was found to be on parole. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver possessed marijuana for sale. The suspect was booked into county jail.

Graffiti–Dec. 1, 7:24 a.m. Carson Drive. An unknown person used black and red spray paint to write on the school walkway, the walls of buildings D and F, the foam playground floor and the playground slide at Vargas Elementary School. The graffiti did not appear to be gang-related. The estimated damage was $1,200.

Vandalism–Nov. 29, 9:51 a.m. Cheyenne Drive. An unknown person broke the lower window to the southern door of the east entrance of the Nimitz Elementary School library.

Petty theft–Nov. 28, 9:03 p.m. W. Washington Avenue. A woman accidentally left her wallet on the counter at Macy’s and it was taken. About an hour later an employee found her wallet. About $700 cash was missing.
