Commercial burglary–Sept. 14, 7 a.m. Thompson Place. An unknown person entered a business by prying the front door and stole various items, including electronics and tools.

Possession of drugs for sale–Sept. 13, 7:34 p.m. Mathilda Avenue. After a traffic enforcement stop, a passenger in a vehicle was found to be on searchable probation and was discovered to be in possession of ecstasy for sale. Additional drugs for sale were found in the passenger’s home in San Jose after a subsequent search. The passenger was booked into county jail.

Residential burglary–Sept. 13, 5:47 p.m. 400 block of Glendale Avenue. While officers were searching the area for the suspect in a previous theft case, they found that someone had entered and was burglarizing a home. The individual was apprehended within the residence with the assistance of a DPS K9. The suspect was booked into county jail for burglary, resisting arrest and being under the influence of drugs.

Commercial burglary–Sept. 12, 8:30 p.m. Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. An unknown person broke into two lockers in the women’s locker room at 24 Hour Fitness, stole car keys and then burglarized vehicles in the parking lot.

Residential burglary–Sept. 12, 10 a.m. Karameos Drive. An unknown person entered a residence via an open kitchen window and stole electronics and jewelry.

Commercial burglary–Sept. 12, 3:08 a.m. W. El Camino Real. Between 10 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 3:08 a.m. on Sept. 12, an unknown person entered a business by unknown means and stole money from the safe.

Commercial burglary–Sept. 12, 2:35 a.m. W. Maude Avenue. An unknown person broke out the rear glass door of the business and stole electronics. The suspect fled from private security in a dark-colored SUV.

Strong-arm robbery–Sept. 10, 6:05 p.m. Gail Avenue. A woman was walking with her husband when an unknown person approached and forcibly removed a gold chain from her neck. The suspect fled on foot.

Strong-arm robbery–Sept. 10, 5:20 p.m. Banning Avenue. A woman was walking when an unknown person pushed her to the ground. The suspect then proceeded to forcibly remove a gold chain from her neck and then fled the area on foot.

Armed robbery–Sept. 10, 12:20 p.m. S. Wolfe Road. A woman was walking when she was confronted by two unknown subjects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. One of the subjects forcibly removed a gold chain from her neck and fled on foot.

Vehicle fire–Sept. 10, 1:21 a.m. N. Mathilda Avenue. DPS units responded to a vehicle fire in a carport, which was threatening the apartments above the carport. Firefighters found the vehicle’s engine compartment engulfed in fire. Crews quickly controlled the fire and kept it from spreading to the apartments. The apartments above suffered only minor smoke damage.
