The library was a reading room for six years before The Women's Christian Temperence Union gave control of it to the city on Dec 14, 1914. Lisa Rosenbloom, Director of Library and Community Services welcomed everyone and introduced Mayor Jim Griffith who opened the day's festivities at noon. There were activities for all ages throughout the day.
