Hendy Iron Works Museum is a national Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark located in Sunnyvale. The Iron Works produces a wide variety of heavy machinery and metal castings. The “Iron Men of Hendy” assumed critical roles in the war efforts of both World War I and World War II. The museum exhibits materials of historical interest related to Joshua Hendy Iron Works and the Sunnyvale operations of Westinghouse Electric and Northrop Grumman.
The Museum is open on a limited basis. Docent guided individual and group tours are open to the public by scheduling in advance. Please call (408)735-2020 to make arrangements.
Tours are open for Northrop Grumman employees 11:30am to 12:30pm
on the second Monday of each month with the exception of December.
The Museum is located within the Northrop Grumman Marine Systems Plant
on Hendy Ave between Sunnyvale Ave & Fair Oaks Ave in Sunnyvale, California.
