Neighborhood Associations
Neighborhood associations are a valuable asset to the Sunnyvale community. They provide an excellent link for the City and residents to communicate with each other. Associations are typically formed for one of two reasons:
-
To address a problem or challenge with the help of other residents
-
To further a sense of community. Regardless of the reason(s) for organizeing to form an association, the City of Sunnyvale is dedicated to helping neighborhood association leaders accomplish their goals.
If you are interested in starting a neighborhood association, we first recommend you check the map below. There may already be an association in your area for you to join. If so, you may check with them about upcoming meetings or events, as well as opportunities to get involved as a volunteer.
If there isn't already a neighborhood association in your area, you may be thinking about starting one. There are over two dozen neighborhood associations in Sunnyvale, each with its own set of goals and objectives. You may want to chat with other neighborhood associations about the reasons they got started and what helped them in the beginning. You may also choose to contact the City of Sunnyvale staff, as they have some resources available to help you get started.
