Sunnyvale Skate Park lies in the shade of broad-leafed trees and Old English charm of the 18-acre Fair Oaks Park in Sunnyvale, California. The lovely setting makes it a perfect place to visit with the whole family. Parents can enjoy a relaxing picnic in a picturesque park, while the kids take advantage of the Skate Park. Fair Oaks Park also has basketball courts, areas for very young children to play in, horseshoe pits, and restrooms for your convenience.

For skaters of all ages, the Skate Park is the place to be. Skaters under the age of 14 must have a parent present. Also, while skateboards, roller blades, and roller skates are welcome at the facilities, bicycles and other wheeled vehicles are not. For the safety of all park visitors, pads and helmets are required. The best feature is that there is no admission fee for using the Skate Park. The park is conveniently located just a few blocks off the Fair Oaks exit off Highway 101 North.

The Skate Park provides a variety of set ups for everyone from beginning skaters to advanced skaters. They have different sized bowls for showing off stunts, as well as some street elements like a four-stair with rails, ledges and other props. The smaller bowl is about four feet deep, while the larger one is approximately eight. They have a Micro-ramp which is excellent for learning new tricks. Overall, the skateboard provides the props needed to practice most tricks for any skater. The park is relatively new and the surface has been kept smooth and is well cared for. The surface is made of concrete and coping. The layout allows for great lines and to pick up some serious speed when the park isn't crowded.

Sunnyvale Skate Park is one of the most popular skate parks in the area, so it can get crowded on the weekends. We recommended that you get there early to avoid the crowds and get some extra space.

Visiting during more busy times will give you a chance to meet the local skaters as well as tourists to the area. The park attracts a wide variety of visitors. Skaters of all ages and ability levels are attracted to the well-kept grounds and variety of props the park has to offer. The variety of guests helps create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

So whether you're an experienced skater looking for a place to show off your latest moves, a new skater trying to learn the tricks of the trade, or a family wanting to find a place where there's something for everyone, the Sunnyvale Skate Park is a great park to visit. So get your boards, blades, or picnic blankets and go enjoy a day at the park!
